Contradiction

My heart chose you
But I’m fighting it
I’m not giving in
To your atmosphere

My heart chose you
But my senses knew better
You’re a trap in the wilderness
I should’ve known better

My heart chose you
Over and over again
But you’re a diamond
In the rough

My heart chose you
But my soul says no
Contradicting parts of me
Are fighting because of you
