When my muse
Is still unsure of me
Love learns to wait
When my muse
Is in need of understanding
Love learns to give service
When my muse
Decides to love me back
Love learns to meet halfway
But if my muse
Decides to be with another
Love learns to accept defeat
But if my muse
Decides to reject me wholly
Love learns to say goodbye
But if my muse
Is seen happy without me
Love learns to let go
But love does not disappear
Cannot be purged with catharsis
Instead love learns to grow
With virtue, hurt, and patience
There’s no love lost
For if one loves purely
Love comes with lessons learned
And with love, I shall carry on
Love is
