Ocean of Thoughts

Until you see me
As another person
Not someone to control
Nor change

Until you see my intentions
That are truly pure
Not masked with sins
Nor selfishness

Until you see my perspective
With great understanding
Not clouded by your pride
Nor the lies of others

Until you look into my eyes
And connect with my soul
Not to look at me with false passions
Nor indignation of any kind

We can never be

You’ll never see me
In the same light again
I will always find a way
To flee
From your embrace
That’s no longer warm
Nor gentle

You never had me
Though I know
That you wish you did
That’s why you wanted to retaliate
But I’m already gone
Free amongst the trees
In the sea
In the mountains
I’ll end it within my terms
