Ocean of Thoughts

Tell me
Is pain enduring
More than love is?
Is suffering supposed
To outlast every other
Human experience?
To which I say, it is unfair,
For I believe
That virtue is also enduring
Yet, why is it only a temporarily solace?
Or maybe
I’m not there yet
To reach everlasting peace
There are still lessons to be learned
‘Til then
Let me endure
Let me learn
Let me survive
The trifles of daily struggle
Of the ordinary person
In this ordinary world
And yet,
Still have an extraordinary life
Of my own fulfilling.
