Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?
Calm
Cannot be seen in the dark.
Feared
For I remind them of darkness
The unknown.
Mystified
But can never be loved
The way others can.
I am a black cat
Superstitious but keen
In the dark but kind
I remind you of what you cannot understand
But let me shed my light
Amongst darkness
I’ll show you new ways
Of living
Far beyond what’s imagined.
